Music has been picking up substantially in Bangalore and over the last two years, the city has seen an exponential increase in artists from all over the world playing to packed venues and exhilarating audiences.

A few weeks ago, Jazz guitar legend John McLaughlin and his band, The 4th Dimension visited India as part of their tour and played at different venues across the country. His Bangalore leg of the tour was mind-blowing with an amount of energy not known of Jazz concerts.

The 4th Dimension band is composed of some big-timers in the music scene such as Gary Husband on the keyboards and percussion, drummer Ranjit Barot and bassist Etienne Mbappe. With a line up that has musicians coming in from various genres and collaborating with such a wide range of artists (Ranjit Barot often collaborates with A.R. Rahman), live shows and concerts of such bands are always bound to be entertaining.
